Cooking and baking at the Ronald McDonald House

In this event, volunteers went to the Ronald McDonald house to cook for the people that live there. The people got a delicious vegetarian dinner and freshly baked cookies on top of everything!

In these events, the talented volunteers perform music for many people. On December 1st, we performed Christmas carols with TCYOLI members for the people of East Williston. On December 9th, we performed for seniors at the Oyster Bay Manor. Everyone had a lot of fun and enjoyed these performances. 

Book Drive 2023

In this year's book drive, we donated almost 40 boxes of books to the Book Faires organization. We had a lot of books to organize and donate, but we did it and had a lot of fun. 

Food Distributions

In food distributions, we hand out food to the people in East Williston that do not have the income to afford the food with another non - profit group called TCYOLI. This usually takes over 4 hours and is very fun. 

Walk to End Epilepsy

This walk was created to end the disease epilepsy, and we participated in it, even though it was raining! It was a lot of fun and and volunteers even got free candy. 

Mid Autumn Festival

We volunteered at the mid Autumn festival this year, helping out the LICAA foundation and helping celebrate this festival. Everyone had a great time. 

Park/Neighborhood/ Beach Cleanups

We cleaned up many parks and beaches this year. We have also made sure that our neighborhood, as well as many others, are as clean as possible. we work hard to try to make the environment healthier. 

Book Drives

Moving forward, a lot more people attended and donated to these book drives. There we set up drives in multiple public parks and got donations. 

Book Drive Day 2

On book drive day 2, it seems a lot easier compared to the first time since we already have experience and know how to set up and what to do. We are excited to welcome our youngest volunteer, Cody Cheng in 1st grade to join our volunteer work today!

A total of 20 boxes of books collected and sorted by our youth group today, thank you all and extremely happy to see friends getting involved in our activities as well.   

Book Drive Day 1

Kudos to our group of youth participants, in two and a half hours, kids received and sorted 14 boxes of books which made our very first LIY4F event extremely successful, thank you all!
